Construction of a 14 MW geothermal heat plant in Stargard Szczeciński
The Geothermal Heat Plant extracts hot water with a temperature of 87oC from a depth of 2.700 m. The hot geothermal water heats up the return district heat water in a 14,0 MW titanium plate heat exchanger. After the water is cooled down it is re-injected to the directional injection well with a length of 3.000 m. The thermal possibilities of the heat source enable to cover nearly 25% of the annual heat demand of the city of Stargard. The project significantly contributed to the reduction of harmful emissions. It was implemented in the years 1999-2004 according to FIDIC rules.
